Tarik Džaka is a Software Engineer at Janea Systems, based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Sarajevo. His passion for problem-solving started early through math and programming competitions during high school, where he represented his country at international competitions, including the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad.

Professionally, Tarik has worked on building reliable, algorithm-heavy backend systems. Before joining Janea, he was a Software Engineer at Orca, where he helped develop a sail routing engine used by sailors worldwide. He later worked on designing a player rating engine for Pickleball.com.

Outside of work, Tarik enjoys playing football, gaming, and reading. He is passionate about traveling and exploring new places, with a long-term goal of seeing as much of the world as possible.
