Jim is originally from Southern California. He has lived in several parts of North America as his family moved around for work. Notably, Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, Dallas, and now he's raising his own family in San Francisco. His parents were part of the first generation of Software Sales, so they moved around a lot. You might say he was born into a Sales family.

Jim and his wife Darlene have raised a Division 1 NCAA Athlete in San Francisco, Jordan, and she is swimming at the University of California, just 20 minutes away in Berkeley.

Jim is an avid runner, golfer, snowboarder, and tennis player whenever he finds the time or gets an invite.
