Bruno is a Machine Learning Engineer at Janea Systems. He holds a medical degree and a Master's in Computer Science from UFMG in Brazil. Also a self-taught programmer, Bruno gradually transitioned from medicine into machine learning, a shift that began when his unique background as a doctor pursuing a CS Master's led to a data scientist role at a major Brazilian healthcare provider.

Since then, he has focused on machine learning and deep learning, with particular experience in NLP and computer vision. He also worked at Microsoft in security research, an experience that shaped much of how he thinks about systems and real-world impact.

An avid dog lover and a self-described tech enthusiast, Bruno enjoys exploring new gadgets in his free time. He is also into 3D modeling, digital painting, and gaming. He has been with his wife for ten years - married for five - which he considers his longest-running project to date.
