Following Merck and Siemens collaboration announcements in 2020 and 2021, Riffyn's source code was acquired by Siemens in March 2022. Shortly after, Merck partnered with Janea Systems to lead the fusion of Riffyn's innovative platform with Merck's established systems. This synergy aimed to solidify Merck's position at the forefront of Industry 4.0 within the pharma sector. The integration of Riffyn cloud platform's features (such as process design, experiment setup, data capture, design of experiments and data integration engine for real-time analytics) act as an invaluable asset to Merck's work. Even more so with the ongoing arms race for AI dominating the technological landscape.
